This is quickly becoming "one of those weeks".
- mac got back late on Sunday night, due to delayed flight
- I had forgotten that Monday was a half day at school, so I decide late Sunday that if he is dead sleepy that I let him sleep and work from home
- Monday I work from home, not unproductive, but miss a lot of the co-worker interaction that gets projects moving the speed we need, also miss training new staff more
- Monday night dinner meltdown delays getting online to do more work
- Arrive at work Tuesday to calendar alarm that we had an 8:30 Dr. appt for mac
- Frantically call Dr. to re-schedule
- Get squeezed in for the afternoon - must leave work at 1pm
- An hour to get mac, 40 min. back to Dr, wait in aptly named waiting room for an hour and a half
- Get note in mac's bag that there is a class presentation on Friday until 9:40 for parents (read not into office until 10:40 = 1 hr 40 min. late)
- Find out that the pins stay in for 6 weeks, which probably means no vacation this summer.
- Get message from Dr. office, the date I was given for surgery is apparently wrong, must call in morning
- Get home, must do homework, eat some, bathe, and read in less time than normal
- Realize Oz has peed on mac's carpet for third time in 4 weeks.
- Am reminded that there is no school on Thursday, must call afterschool tomorrow to see if they are covering.
- Tell mac that he has to go to early drop off tomorrow morning and maybe Friday morning too.
- Fail to get through any substantial work, but am still awake at almost midnight
Nothing capital H horrible, but enough things to have me feeling frazzled. I think putting it all down just helped. I need to do a brain dump to paper or computer at work and also at home, that would help. I at least added the phone calls to my calendar at work for tomorrow, and I scheduled one non-urgent but important meeting to also get things out of my head and on someone else's plate.
