I never kept up my list in 2010, so here it is updated:
1. Laws of Attraction - it was on tv, sue me. Cute, harmless - kinda perfect on tv weekend rom com.
2. The Spy Next Door - Horrible Terrible kid flick. Ptui, let us never speak of it again.
3. Chinatown - One of many big big films I had never seen. loved the look and feel of it. love a young Jack being the good guy.
4. Mad Hot Ballroom - Netflix on Demand via TiVO. I think I remember lots of people liking this. I found it a bit watch from the hall.
5. Modesty Blaise - I am sure this got added to the queue on someone's recommendation, but I am not sure why. Such an odd little 60s ridiculous campy spy thing. Not much there there, but young Terrance Stamp, so that's something.
6. Snow Dogs - Just as bad as you think. Slapstick bad. James Coburn though, didn't see that coming, although the "twists" you can see roughly 10 miles away.
7. How to Train Your Dragon - at a Theater in Texas in 3D and then again in NY in IMAX 3D. Good Funny Stuff. We are now reading the book and it is WAY different than the movie.
8. Julie and Julia - I had this for a LONG time from Netflix. In fact, I thought I had lost it, but it was found and I finally watched it. cute. enh. love meryl, like really really love.
9. Milk - Wow, so good. And so sad. Sad that so many of the same battles are being fought.
10. Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole - Better than lots of the kids' movies we see. I'd like to read the books.
11. To Be or Not To Be - The Lombard/Benny original - I watched this in two viewing separated by more than a month. I knew nothing about it and it took me a while to get into it.
12. Desk Set - Another old movie I knew nothing about. Not much there to it really, but wow did it hit me with NYC. Rock Center, right where I used to work, and awesome set interiors of the offices.
